The 1928 hardcover reprint of the scarce 1887 paperback edition, with additional biographical & historical info on Lane provided by his niece. Jenkins states the best edition, and he would later reprint this version himself. Jenkins states: "One of the best military memoirs, also a prime source on the period from the Texas Revolution through the Civil War." Bound in olive cloth, no text on spine. BTB 119-A. VG/No Jacket.
