NOT ex-library. Combined volume: two books in one. The Adventures of Sinbad the Sailor: A Wonder for all Children, retold by Laurence Housman, illustrated by Mahlon Blaine; and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, (no author listed) illustrated by Gustave Dore. Hardcover has Navy faux leather-covered boards, gold spine lettering on a red panel and gold cover lettering. Front cover also has red seagull above red stylized wave pattern. Red satin index ribbon. Deckle fore edges. Top pages edges are maroon. Salmon endpapers. Lettering, especially on cover is faded. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners lightly rubbed, with slight fraying at tips. Covers have light surface and edge wear. Pages very lightly and uniformly tanned but still supple. Pages clean and unmarked. Last few pages are still uncut. 85 + 207 pages. No dust jacket. Verso of Sinbad title page states: "Copyright 1936 by the Illustrated Editions Company Inc. The Three Sirens Press. Printed in the United States of America by J. J. Little and Ives Company, New York." Verso of Munchausen title page states: "Printed in the United States of America ". Each of the seven Sinbad tales has a two-page illustration by Blaine, in addition to text illustrations. There are numerous full-page Dore illustrations for the Munchausen. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
