New York: Grosset & Dunlap. Very Good in Fair dust jacket. ©1946. Hardcover. 305 p. 20 cm. Sound and square binding in cloth-covered boards. Worn at corner tips and a little at the spine ends. Lower boards edges are a bit marked. A little gilt missing on the spine's title block. Top edge somewhat dusty. Two of the colour illustration have some faint pencil marks on their titles. Otherwise the inside pages are clean and unmarked, with some toning. The dust jacket has heavy wear to the edges, corners and spine end, including chips, tears and crease. The spine is darkened. Now in a mylar protector. A reprint of the classic story of Tom Sawyer with full page colour illustrations and black and white drawings. .
Synopsis
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, by Mark Twain, is a popular 1876 novel about a young boy growing up in the antebellum South on the Mississippi River in the town of St. Petersberg, based on the town of Hannibal, Missouri.
