Najib Ullah was then a Visiting Lecturer in Oriental Studies at Princeton University. The paper gives the historical backgrround of Afghanistan from the Rig Veda period about 2000 BC to the Partition of India in 1947-48., The paper was distributed to participants of the Conference of which the present owner was one..
