Unpaginated, approximately 32 pp. A few black and white photos of people throughout, as well as ads for local African-American businesses. A program of events for the 50th annual convention of the Louisiana Education Association and Louisiana Congress of Colored Parents and Teachers, focusing on the theme, "Education for Human Rights." A lengthy program of events is included, as well as biographies of more notable attendees and speakers. This includes James Madison Nabrit Jr., a prominent Civil Rights lawyer and president of Howard University; Moss Hendrix, a pioneer in the field of public relations, who worked to get companies to market their products to Black audiences. The event was held at the Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport. GOOD condition. Moderate foxing and toning to the covers, with minor soiling and staining. Math problem worked out on the rear cover. Vertical fold crease present.
