Psychologie comparée. § Robert Ardrey (October 16, 1908 - January 14, 1980) was an American playwright, screenwriter, and scientific writer. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Chicago in 1930. He then worked as a playwright and screenwriter in Hollywood, where he wrote for several films including "The Three Musketeers" and "The Secret Garden." Ardrey is perhaps best known for his non-fiction works on human evolution and behavior. His most famous book, "African Genesis: A Personal Investigation into the Animal Origins and Nature of Man," was published in 1961 and became an international bestseller.
