Published in 1959, book is based upon a series of lectures delivered at the Institut d'Etude de Development Economique et Social in Paris, and discusses the problems faced by the many states in Asia and Africa which achieved independence between 1945 and 1957. Blue cloth with red titling on spine, top edge of text block is coloured. Spine and edges of cover slightly sunned, foxing on end papers, otherwise book is without flaws. Dust jacket, which is not price-clipped, has minor edge wear and a sunned spine, but is otherwise bright and clean. 104 pages Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg.
