Binding of full grey cloth with gilt titles, clean and unmarked, tight and solid and square. Internals very clean, no underlining, no highlighting, no marginalia, no creases. Jacket is clean and unmarked, clipped, with chipping and small tears around spine ends, tear to lower rear edge. Focuses on three major themes of the age: the transforming element of technology; the effect of the population explosion; and nationalism, the major ideological force for change in the 1800s. 336 pages including Bibliography, Chronological Tables, and Index. 9.75" x 7".
