Story & Art by Elvy Kalep, a friend of Amelia Earhart's, published by Saalfield in 10" x 13" Folio, Color Pictorial wraps, VERY NICE Condition.
Complete in 20 Pages, including covers, all Color Illustrated!! VERY GOOD+++, No Names, Marks or interior Damage, Spine totally in tact, hint of wear only, Some light scuffing on wraps, mostly rear, with one small rear wrap edge piece torn off...very small, see 3rd to last image.
A marvelous picture book depicting charming little creatures who are half-cherub and half airplane.
****** Includes a Rare Introduction by none other than AMELIA EARHART -- the last she ever endorsed before her fateful 1937 circumnavigation flight! (The book was already in publication before she ventured upon that fateful voyage).
The story tells of their sometimes harrowing adventures as "AERONAUTS", with Help from "Uncle Zepp" & "Auntie Balloon" !!
Amelia truly adored this book, not only for the Endearing portrayals, but their "adventurous" spirit!!
