Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Cover title is "United States Coast Guard aircraft 1917-1977", which is different from the title on the title page. Illustrated wraps, no page numbers but approximately 86 pages, illustrated with black-and-white photographs which are captioned, includes aircraft specifications reprinted from Aviation News 1974, United Kingdom. Wraps lightly worn/soiled, light wear at top of spine and corners, bottom of spine bumped with a small tear, inside back cover and last page has some light foxing. From the Foreword: "Our purpose in producing this pamphlet is to present chronologically the various aircraft, owned or borrowed, that were operated by the U.S. Coast Guard. A few aircraft that were leased on a trial basis or operated for a very short period of time are not included. The famous NC-4, Navy seaplane, that made the first Trans-Atlantic crossing is not included, but it is mentioned because of the first Coast Guard aviator, LT stone, was a member of the crew."
