About This Item
J.R. Jones, 1897. Hardcover. Fair to Good. Condition is Fair to Good. The text pages are clean and bright, but have some waviness. The book is still intact, but the hinges are badly cracked. The fold-out map of Alaska in the front appears to have been reattached at some point, as does the RFEP. The Front cover is surprisingly still bright and colorful, but the spine is wrinkled and darkened, with a 1" split and end wear. A very heavy book.
Synopsis
From the preface: "Giving the complete account of the rise of gold fever, the excitement produced by the news of unlimited deposits of the precious metal; the rush of miners seeking fortunes at Klondike; hasty preparations for the long and perilous journey and the formation of companies wager to take possession of the region abounding in untold wealth."
