A First Edition from 1964, but a slightly later printing (still with an SSN, not ISBN, & final book listed on rear cover is "Dead Man's Riddle) with the original cover, endpapers, & internal art by Harry Kane. Hardcover 8vo has decorative paper over boards with a yellow spine (not the green variant); no DJ as issued (never had one). Condition is VG-: very clean, text block strong & square, though front hinge has cracked & been reglued. Creamy white pages with a whisper of tanning to outer edges, unmarked save for old gift inscription dated 1975 on title page, else unmarked. Mild rubbing to extremities, heavier at spine tips & all corners. Head of spine is pushed & split.
