Synopsis

All Together Dead is the seventh book in Charlaine Harris's series The Southern Vampire Mysteries. After being betrayed by her vampire love, Bill Compton, Sookie Stackhouse attends an all-important central U.S. Vampire Summit on the shores of Lake Michigan as a "human geiger counter" for Sophie-Anne Leclerq, Vampire Queen of Louisiana and who will be tried during the event for murdering her husband, King of Arkansas. The summit is a tense situation.

Reviews

On Dec 24 2016, a reader said:
All Together Dead is the seventh full-length novel in the Sookie Stackhouse series by popular American author, Charlaine Harris. As well as preparing for imminent weddings, Sookie has to get a wardrobe together for the Vampire Summit to be held in Rhodes. The Queen of Louisiana, Sophie-Ann Leclerq has engaged Sookie's services as a telepath to assist with various negotiations and deals.

And of course, Sookie is the only witness to the murder of the Queen's late husband, the King of Arkansas, Peter Threadgill. Her testimony will be vital at the Queen's murder trial. It seems that many at the Summit have their own agenda, and then there is the danger that the gathering of so many eminent vampires presents an irresistible target for that anti-vampire group, the Fellowship of that Sun. As well as taking her first trip north of the Mason Dixon line, Sookie attends two weddings, a wedding shower, several court cases, and a vampire ball.

Sookie talks with her mouth full, discovers a bomb, browses some unusual convention stalls and reconnects with Barry the Bellhop. There are, as always, attempts on her life and she contributes to a search and rescue effort in a very novel way. Sookie does her best to ignore Bill, is forced into a situation with Eric and (finally!) gets up close and personal with Quinn. All Together Dead aptly titled as many are dead by the end of this one! Bring on From Dead to Worse.

About More Than Words Inc.

More Than Words empowers youth who are in foster care, court-involved, homeless or out of school to take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business. MTW believes that when system-involved youth are challenged with authentic and increasing responsibilities in a business setting, and are given high expectations and a culture of support, they can and will address personal barriers to success, create concrete action plans for their lives, and become contributing members of society. More Than Words began as an online bookselling training program for youth in DCF custody in 2004 and opened its vibrant bookstore on Moody St in Waltham in 2005 and added its Starbucks coffee bar in 2008. MTW replicated its model in the South End of Boston in 2011, thereby doubling the number of youth served annually.
