Liverpool: Blake & Mackenzie, 1900 Third edition. 8vo, viii, 196 pp, plus 4 plates in two states, one in beautiful chromolithography, with duplicate black & white plate adjacent Additionally includes numerous black & white illustrations full page & in text throughout. Publisher's pebbled maroon cloth lettered & decorated in gilt & black.
Spine browned, brief wear at spine extremities & corners, pastedowns & endpapers discolored from binder's glue, binding cracked at page 64 (still secure), occasional foxing, otherwise Good or better.
On page 183 author Burberry announces his resignation as orchid grower to the Right Hon. Joseph Chamberlain & current availability as "Orchid Specialist & Cultural Adviser." The remaining text comprises advertising for greenhouse & garden supplies
