The novel is written in the first person from the point of view of the teenage daughter of the family. The daughter is a curious and voracious reader and she is fascinated by the Falls and the park itself. She is also a tomboy who is not afraid to get her hands dirty. The family spends a week exploring the Falls and the surrounding area. They also hike to the top of the falls and visit the thermal pools. The daughter grows to love the park and the Falls in particular. She is surprised by how much she enjoys the experience and learns a lot about herself and her family.; 8vo; 570 pages; Signed by Author .
