Institutional bookplate inside the front cover, brief markings on the rear cover, clean text. Signed by the author at the title page, and nicely inscribed and signed by the author in 1958 for North Carolina Poel Laureate James Larkin Pearson (whose signature/ownership stamp is at the bottom and top edges of the text block).
