VG Christian Union NY 1855-56 hardcover 8vo, approximately 700+ pages, engraving, index. 16 issues between June 1855 and Dec 1856 bound in 3/4 leather and marbled paper covered boards. The Christian Union was a combination of 3 different societies: The Christian alliance, The Foreign Evangelical Society, and The American Protestant Society. Light wear to leather at extremities. Nice, solid, clean copy with gilt spine titling, raised bands, and only random interior foxing.
