New York: Huntington & Savage, 1851. Twelve issues, complete for the year, bound in one volume. Tall octavo, card boards, 190 pages. First leaf (pages 1-2) lacking; hinges cracked, boards worn. All else very good.
Isaac Woodbury (1819-1858) was an American composer and publisher of church music, perhaps best known for a popular collection of church hymns of the era, The Dulcimer. He also edited and published this magazine, The American Monthly Musical Review, a monthly publication which contained articles on music theory, musical notation and news pertinent to the musical community.
