First edition of Among Friends by Samuel McChord Crothers in the original publisher's cloth binding.A presentation copy, signed, inscribed, and dated 1910 by the author to the front free endpaper: 'For Valentine D. Davis, with Christmas feelings from his friend'. Additionally, a clipping of a photograph of Crothers's home is pasted onto the front free endpaper. A collection of essays by the American Unitarian Minister, including topics such as 'The Hundred Worst Books' and 'My Missionary Life in Persia'. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some wear to the head and tail of the spine. The hinges are strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot. Good
