231 printed pages. Lacks haf title (publisher imprint partly illegible due to misprint or historic stain; some page edges very slightly kinked). Pale yellow endpapers (lacks front free endpaper). Inner gilt dentelles. All edges gilt (somewhat worn). One of the Bibliotheque Portative du Voyageur series, renowned for being the earliest travelling library, a set of which was supposed to have been carried by Napoleon Bonaparte on his military campaigns. 69 x 92 mm. Original red morocco; spine with gilt hand-tooled leaves in lozenge shaped motifs, within scrolling french fillet horizontal gilt rules; gilt panelled covers (corners very slightly worn). Nauroy, 22.
