Harper & Brothers, 1841. hard cover. Good. New York: Harper & Brothers. 1841. In Two Volumes. Hardcover, no jacket. 212pp+204pp. Good only condition. Half leather boards with gilt decoration and titling to spine, with with gilt stamped owner name (T.H. Perkins Jr) on front. Boards are heavily shelf worn, and leather is torn and cracked in places. Same owner name is neatly penned to both title pages. Title page for Vol 1 is torn with the bottom one inch or so of the page missing. In Volume 2 page 47/48 is also torn with with similar loss at top of page affecting textblock. Otherwise very satisfactory inside, with scattered light foxing but no markings. The bindings are secure. (cfm)
