Philadelphia: Institute of Contemporary Art. University of Pennsylvania. 1965. First Edition. Hardcover. 18.5 x 14 cm, card covers perfect bound with black cloth backstrip, the front cover reproducing Warhol's famous image of 100 Campbell's beef noodle soup cans. One tissue leaf, some other leaves of various colours. Rubber stamped "Review Copy" twice at front. 27 works reproduced in text, some in colour, some double page. Backstrip has a short tear at foot; backstrip adhesive was inadequate for the job and all the leaves are now loose (but complete) in the binding. Otherwise a VG+ copy. The catalogue was designed by Ben Birillo and accompanied the exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia, 08 Oct to 21 Nov, 1965, which was Warhol's first solo museum exhibition. Elvis as gunslinger, Jackie Kennedy, Marilyn Munroe, Elizabeth Taylor, 200 one dollar bills, and more. A scarce, fragile, and excellent Warhol artifact. ; 12mo .
