NY: Doubleday, Doran, 1933. First Edition . Hardcover. Good. 1st, black cloth, good only, no dj. Book is fairly tight with clean pages, but the spine looks terrible, faded, soiled, worn at ends and with a 1" rip in the front side about halfway down. Also corners bumped. INSCRIBED by the author on the ffep: "For Vivian and "Buddy", with many pleasant recollections of a summer in the Les Chenaux with the skipper, Nella Braddy Henney. Pre-publication copy/Sept. 1, 1933". 'Les Chaneaux' refers to France's Channel Islands. 365 pp. incl. index.
