Ex-library, bound in burgundy pebbled cloth over red cloth. Some general medium wear to exterior, including edges of pages, though gilt lettering to spine remains clear and bright. Binding reinforced with blue library tape. New endpapers. A nice inscription in ink to front free endpaper, a name in ink to half title-page, and unobtrusive, red ink underlining (sparingly used on each page) to approximately 60 pages. Staining to lower, blank part of frontispiece and title-page and approximately 15 other pages, including 2 plates near end of volume. Last approximately 25 pages admit to medium bumps/tears, with many other pages admitting to tiny tears to extremities. Hinges admit to some cracking and binding is a little shaken, though all leaves remain in place, though with a small number partially detached. As with many large books, this book will require some care in handling to maintain integrity of binding. Light to medium soiling to interior, though, in most cases, this isn't terribly offensive. Minor spotting to just a small number of pages. Overall, despite wear, remains a good, user friendly working copy hinges soiling
