London: Chatto and Windus, 1923. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 7.75x5.5. A fine copy , smooth, clean and tight in a VG jacket (7s6d net.) with faded spine, and tape repairs to verso and one repair on the outside of the cover at spine bottom. Ffe tanned on other side of where bookmark may have been. Frayed edges as published and top of text block retains yellow stain. Bound into copy on page 328 is a 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" bound in title stating Antic Hay by Aldous Huxley. A very nice copy despite flaws to wrapper, of this famous witty and devastating novel. Quite scarce in jacket. Antic hay is a comic novel which takes place in London and depicts the aimless or self-absorbed cultural elite in the sad and turbulent times following the end of WWI.
