The armorial stamp of the Earl of Malmesbury is in gilt to both the front and rear board. The front board is pretty loose, just holding, and the rear board is completely detached - but still present! Chipping with a little loss to both the top and bottom edge of the spine. Internally, a good, wide margined and clean copy. Title with engraved printer's mark / vignette. The history of Amiens from ancient times to the 17th Century. Text in French. Collation: [14], 409, [8]. [6], 335, [22], (2), 361-441 pp. 360 x 230 mm (14¼ x 9 inches). Troisième édition. Reliure plein cuir avec décor doré et étiquette au dos. Le timbre armorié du comte de Malmesbury est doré sur le panneau avant et arrière. La planche avant est assez lâche, tenant juste, et la planche arrière est complètement détachée - mais toujours présente ! Écaillage avec un peu de perte à la fois sur le bord supérieur et inférieur de la colonne vertébrale. A l'intérieur, bel exemplaire à larges marges et propre.
