London: Hooper and Wigstead. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1797. New Edition. Hardcover. FRONT BOARD DETACHED - Otherwise the covers are in Good condition overall, but internally the book is VG. Full (small diamond patterned) leather with gilt titling and decorative panels to the spine. Gilt patterned borders to the front and rear covers. Some marks to the covers/rubbed through corners. 4 Raised bands to the spine. The spine is splitting along the rear edge and chipped to the head/tail of the spine. All edges marbled. Marbled endpapers with the heraldic bookplate of George and Florence Gould. Initials 'G G' on the second ffep. An Engraved Title page with an oval vignette. Followed by the County Index to Volume VII (7). This Volume covers: - Anglesea, Brecknockshire, Caermarthenshire, Caernarvonshire, Cardiganshire, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Glamorganshire, Merionethshire, Montgomeryshire, Pembrokeshire, and Radnorshire Counties. All 82 copper engraved plates, including the 12 maps, as called for in index present. There is/are some light foxing/patches of foxing on some of the blank margins of the engravings, but none affecting the images. One small (1") worm run affecting one plate only - again in the bottom edge/blank margin. The plates and maps are ALL good strong dark impressions. The text covers 114 pages but is interspersed with the unpaginated Plates/Maps. The WALES Section. ; Vol. 7; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
