Shrewsbury: Adnitt and Naunton, 1875. First complete edition, printed from one of the original manuscripts, and reproducing in facsimile the title page, and plans of the church, spelling has not been modernised, red/brown cloth with blind stamp designs, and gilt lettering on the front (Gough's History of Myddle 1700-1701), some wear and marking to cloth and board edges, corners bumped and frayed, spine is faded, some dust and foxing to edges, two small black strips to front pastedown, some foxing to grey endpapers and prelims, including the title page plate and its tissue guard, internally pages and other plates are very good; substantially a very pleasing copy of a medieval classic of topography and genealogy. 'Four Minsters Round the Wrekin' from the same publisher, 1877 first edition, also available (copies in leather and cloth).. First Thus. Hardcover. Very Good.
