Numerous engraved illustrations by Paul Avril in several colors, with tissure guards. Half leather binding with marbled covers and endpapers, top edge gilt with untrimmed edges. Unfortunately, both covers detached, spine chipped. Interior is tight and bright, unmarked, printed on high quality paper with no foxing and beautiful engraved prints - the highlight of the book.
