From the estate of the late photographer Axel Poignant, a typewritten manuscript of the poem 'These Fragments I Have Stored Against My Ruins' with minor ink corrections and date (August 1947). Sheet folded twice into quarters. This poem first printed in 'Apocalypse in Springtime and Other Poems' Edwards & Shaw, Sydney, 1956, page 5. "Arthur Alexander Banning (1921-1965) was an Australian lyric poet. Disabled from birth by cerebral palsy, he was unable to speak clearly or to write with a pen." Slightly age darkened.
