A nice copy in the original brown cloth, gilt to spine, in the original unclipped protected dust wrapper (15s) with a couple of short closed tears and chipping to edge. Signature to ffep.
Ambroise Pare (c.1510-1590) One of the greatest surgeons of all time, this work is edited by Geoffrey Keynes, M.D., D.Litt, F.R.C.S., F.R.C.O.G., Emeritus Surgeon, St Bartholomew's Hospital. Many of Pare's illustrations are reproduced, together with portraits of the surgeon aged 45, 65, 68 and 72.
