Very Good+: shows light wear to the extremities and some rubbing and faint scratches to the leather of the panels; former owner's name and date inscribed in exquisitely formed hand at the front flayleaf; the endpapers show some pencil notations, front and rear. The top edge is somewhat dust darkened and the other outside edges show heavy foxing; the endpapers show scant foxing as well. The binding shows very slight lean, but remains secure; the text is clean. Remains clean, sturdy, and quite presentable. A handsome copy, considering its age.
