Richly illustrated antique copy of "THE ARABIAN NIGHTS." 1920; The John C. Winston Company; Philadelphia and Chicago. This edition features four full-page color plates and 60 black & white illustrations by Adelaide H. Bolton. Included are classics stories such as The Story of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, The Story of Sinbad the Sailor, The Story of Aladdin or The Wonderful Lamp, and many more.
Condition:
There is a small stain below the title on the spine that bleeds over to the left edge of the front cover; there are also a couple small stain spots at the bottom of the spine; tiny cloth tear near the center of the spine. There is a patch on the front cover illustration over the letter "A" in "Arabian" where the top paper layer has peeled. Clean back cover. Tiny cloth tears at the corner tips. Tight binding with no loose pages. There is a partial crack at the front hinge between the end paper and frontispiece resulting in the front cover being a bit shaky. Nice interior - the pages are clean with only a tiny tear at the top edge of page 3. Old name written in pencil on the front end paper. Small bookshop label affixed to the front pastedown. Overall the book is in Very Good condition.
