Very good. 258p, 124p octavo with Frontis. and 82 in text engravings, 7 full page in text engravings, 8 tipped in plates plus 7 folding engravings and additional 8 tipped in plates. A very good copy in original vellum with later leather spine label. Ownership bookplate of Richard Robert Madden 1798-1886 Irish Doctor, writer and Abolitionist who was sent to Jamaica to oversee the transition from slavery. Enclosed in a cloth clamshell case with leather label.
