Note sur Quelques Déterminations de Coordonnées Géographiques: Extrait de la Connaissance des Temps pour 1866 is string-bound and measures 6 x 9.25 inches; 4 pp; small spot stain to front wrapper; very good condition. Liste des Itinéraires et Traités Géographiques Concernant La Syrie, La Palestine & L'Arabie is staple-bound and measures 5 ⅜ x 8 ⅜ inches; 16 pp; fine condition.

Note sur Quelques Déterminations de Coordonnées Géographiques was published in Paris in 1864; it contains notes from Louis Vignes, a naval officer and photographer who accompanied the Duc de Luynes on his 1864 expedition to the Dead Sea region. In the forward (translated from French) the Duc de Luynes wrote: "Mr. Vignes, lieutenant, who has just explored the Dead Sea and the Arabah valley with me, and who, after my departure from Jaffa, went from Jerusalem to Damascus by the shore left of the Jordan, writes to me from Beirut and sends me the attached documents, the main result of his work. Hoping to please the Members of the Bureau des Longitudes, and thus obtain for Mr. Vignes the next publication of his observations, I am sending you a copy with an extract from this officer's letter."

Liste des Itinéraires et Traités Géographiques Concernant La Syrie, La Palestine & L'Arabie was published in Hyères in 1865; it is a bibliography listing 105 resources the Duc de Luynes used for his research on the Dead Sea.

Both booklets scarce; there are no copies of the Liste des Itinéraires in OCLC and only one in commerce as of March 2024, and there are five copies of Note sur Quelques in OCLC and none in commerce as of March 2024.
