The Architectural Press Ltd, London, 1974. Reprint Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Text body is clean and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. A reprint of the 1892 Second Edition, red gilt stamped cloth over boards, xxiv + 280 pp., Bibliography of Lethaby's sources, illustrated by the author. There is a 3/8" slit in the cloth at head of spine along edge. In an illustrated dustjacket that is chipped a little at head of spine, along top and bottom edges and one corner. Lethaby was one of the leaders of the Arts and Crafts movement. "He was a passionate advocate of craftsmanship and individual expression.. . .The publication in 1891 of this book was a milestone in his intellectual development and one that has gained renewed significance today, for in it he established a connection between mysticism and transcendental experience and the design process."
