Hardcover. thick 12mo, 19.5cm, xl,700p., engraved frontis plate & 16 engraved plates, (inc 7 folding), numerous text figures, index, complete with half title, in contemporary full mottled calf, real raised bands, gilt panel borders and decorations, gilt titles, marbled endpapers, worn at th edges, a very good still sound copy (n13). - A classic manual of architecture by French architect Pierre Bullet (1639-1716), whose principal works were the Hotel Crozat (1702) and Evereux (1707) on the Place Vendome. "Architecture Pratique" was first published in 1691. This edition has a hand-written note by a former owner "cette Edition de 1788, commentee par Seguin, est plus estimee que les precideuter.
