About This Item
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1940. First Edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. The Author. 8vo. Bound in silver cloth with black and white text illustrations and several two page coloured plates. Exposed glue at edges of pastedown has turned brown. Dustjacket well worn at hinges of flaps and corners with resultant paper loss, edges worn with a 1 cm+ chip to bottom edge of rear panel, spine heavily worn with loss of surface and 1 cm chip to heel of spine, some dust soiling to edges of rear flap, 1 inch tear to top edge of front panel which also has some light scratches and a puncture near hinge of front flap.
