A privately-printed history of one of the first textile mills in America to successfully manufacture worsteds. Established as the Arlington Woolen Mills in 1865, the new company experienced difficulties In competing with English-produced woollen goods, primarily due to its quality and to the prejudice against American-manufactured textiles. The company managed to survive, expanding into cotton manufacture in 1881 and shortening its name to Arlington Mills. Larson 874.. F. Hardcover.
