Green cloth boards with pastedown label. x + 120 pp. 10 large tissue guarded color plates, 4 large tissue guarded BW engravings. Many additional large BW plates and illustrations. Reproductions by several artists of drawings by William Twopeny. Includes exteriors and interiors of famous stately homes with details of staircases, gables, chimneys, newel posts and more; also includes examples of furniture, embroideries/tapestries, and engravings of various royalty, maps, etc. Beautifully-reproduced images.
