Octavo, original blue boards with blue cloth spine, spine and front panel lettered in gilt, all edges trimmed. 59 pp. Issued in a limited edition of 500 copies. Slight darkening to text block; a fine copy, without dust jacket, as issued (although, to be clear, the book is housed in a tape-repaired tissue jacket which possibly is original, but we doubt it). Goldstone & Sweetser 75a.
¶ The primary bibliography for many years, surpassed by the Adrian Goldstone & Wesley D. Sweetser's A BIBLIOGRAPHY OF ARTHUR MACHEN in 1965. Still very useful, Machen's comments on his own books are extensive and exceedingly interesting.
