This is a book about Santa Fe, NM and its art community in the pre-WWII years. The author worked at the Santa Fe Fine Arts Museum for many years and knew many of Santa Fe's artists and had access to stories and files about many that had passed. The early days of Santa Fe had no commercial galleries and the artists sold from their homes until the Fine Arts Museum was built giving the artists a gathering place. From here grew the rich community of artist that captured the land and the people of Santa Fe. A clean very presentable copy.
