About This Item
New York, New York, U.S.A.: Doubleday & Company, Inc, 1946. 2nd Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. This is the story of Benedict Arnold's expedition against Quebec at the beginning of 1776. The first edition appeared in 1929, with a revised edition in 1933, and this later printing came out in the summer of 1946. It has dark blue boards with gold lettering, and an American eagle on the front. The front end papers show the main route of the expedition from Maine into Quebec, and the back papers show details of the action in Quebec. There are small traces of old tape at top and bottom of the end papers. A part of the top outer corner is missing from the title page and two following pages, but there is no damage to text. The binding is tight and square. This is a nice reading copy. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall.
