Limited edition of Arundel by Kenneth Roberts, signed by members of the Kenneth Roberts Centennial Commission.. Octavo, [14], 658pp. Navy blue cloth, with gilt illustration on front board, title in gilt on spine. Stated on copyright page "first facsimile edition of the first edition, first state, copyright 1985 by Kenneth Roberts Centennial Commission." Solid text block, detailed imagery on endpapers, a near fine example. In publisher's dust jacket, $75 retail price on front flap, a touch of sunning to spine, small amount of wear on top edge, a near fine example. Reproduction of bookplate with facsimile of Roberts' signature opposite copyright page. Three signatures of members of the Commission on limitation page, with this copy listed as no. 60 of 200 which include a slipcase and forty-page bibliography. Kenneth Roberts was a historical fiction writer who won a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation in 1957 for his novels focusing on early American history.
