London, 1887. Lithograph, 62 x 52 cms, original colour, blank verso; from the first trade edition of Stanfords London Atlas. Edward Stanford (senior) acquired Arrowmsith's stock in 1874. His own version of the London Atlas, dedicated to Queen Victoria in her Golden Jubilee year, is considered to be his last significant work before his retirement. Later editions were revised in keeping with the latest information. Map
