Spines sun-darkened; heel of vol. 1 somewhat frayed; extremities rubbed generally. A lengthy ownership inscription and a sale brochure from 1964 in vol. 1. Also a few other, more discreet owenership markings. Overall, a sound copy of a very scarce set.. (Subject: History of Science.)
