The history of Texas-Mexico relations from the time of the Santa Fe Expedition through the return of the Somervell Expedition from the Rio Grande. The year 1842 was a dramatic year - twice San Antonio fell to Mexican generals, and twice the Texans assembled armies for an invasion of Mexico. Author used original sources to examine in great detail a period in Texas history which had not previously been thoroughly studied. With16 illustrations and 4 fold-out maps. All 4 fold-out maps present. Text, maps, and illustrations all clean and bright to the point where this book appears unread. Small label of previous bookseller on front pastedown. Book is bumped at both ends of spine. Dust jacket is price clipped. Dust jacket is bright with only minor soiling and very minor fading. Dust jacket has minor edgewear. DJ now protected in Mylar.
