About This Item
1935. PALANTI, Mario. "Auditorium" Progetti Roma Anno XIII. 34, [2], [6] pp., illustrated with 42 full page black & white plates. Folio, 352 x 252 mm., bound in publisher's red cloth stamped in silver on the cover, preserved in a new matching cloth folding box. [Milan: Rizzoli & Co., 1935]. Handsomely printed documentation for a planned work in his native Italy, by an architect who achieved renown for his work in South America, and notoriety for his plans, fortunately unfulfilled, to build the world's tallest building in Rome. This project, too, never saw the light of day. One of 300 copies. In fine condition. OCLC lists copies in the U.S. at Columbia, Getty, Colorado, Princeton and Brown.
