Publisher's original olive-green cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine, color pictorial dust jacket lettered in black, lg 4to (11.5 x 8.5 inches). Detailed descriptions of more than 200 species are presented and illustrated in the more than 600 color photos. According to the jacket flap: Among the excellent photographs are pictures of types of reptiles that have never previously been photographed. The book also contains chapters on other significant aspects of herpetofauna including their origins, natural history, classification, identification, habitats, keeping, breeding and photography. There is also an important chapter on reptile and frog conservation. No ownership marks and no signs of use.
