Reprint of the 1869 first edition, to which has been added a new index and a number of early birth, baptism, marriage, divorce, and death records originally recorded at the turn-of-the-century. Boards in green cloth with gilt lettering on front and spine. Light scuffing to top of front cover. Previous owner's rubber stamp on ffep, otherwise interior is clean and unmarked. Approximately 715 pages. Material added to this reprint: Lancaster County Divorces, 1788-1800; Moravian Marriages at Lititz, 1743-1800; Births and Baptisms, St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 1789-1792; Some Lancaster Funeral Procession Notices, 1841-1855. The author, Jacob Isidor Mombert (1829-1913), served as the rector of St. James's Church in Lancaster from 1859 to 1869.
